By accessing, registering on, or making a purchase through The Chokey Hunt website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.
These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and paying members of The Chokey Hunt.
2. About The Chokey Hunt
The Chokey Hunt is a digital scavenger hunt experience offering members access to a clue vault, community space, and the opportunity to compete for real cash prizes. Access to the full member experience is granted upon a one-time payment of $1.00 USD. Free clues and limited content are available to unregistered visitors as outlined on the site.
The Chokey Hunt is operated as an entertainment and skill-based competition platform. Participation is voluntary and subject to the conditions described in this agreement.
3. Eligibility
To participate in The Chokey Hunt, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater
Be a legal resident of a country where participation in skill-based online competitions is permitted
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
Not be a current employee, contractor, or immediate family member of The Chokey Hunt team
By registering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time and to disqualify any participant who does not meet these criteria.
4. Account Registration & Access
When you purchase access or create an account, you agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
Notify us immediately at privacy@chokeyhunt.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
Accept full responsibility for all activity conducted under your account
You may not share, sell, transfer, or sublicense your account or membership access to any other person. Each membership is issued to a single individual only. Violation of this clause may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Membership & Payment
One-Time Access Fee: A one-time payment of $1.00 USD grants you full membership access to The Chokey Hunt clue vault, community, and all associated member benefits as described on the site at the time of purchase.
Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize The Chokey Hunt to charge the stated amount to your provided payment method. You confirm that you are the authorized holder of the payment method used.
Pricing Changes: The Chokey Hunt reserves the right to change the access fee at any time. Any price changes will not affect memberships already purchased.
Additional Purchases: Where applicable, any future premium features, bonus clue packs, or additional content may be offered at a separate cost. These will always be clearly disclosed before purchase and are never automatically charged.
6. Refund Policy
Due to the digital and immediately accessible nature of The Chokey Hunt membership, all sales are final and non-refundable once vault access has been granted.
If you experience a technical issue during purchase that prevented access from being delivered, please contact us at privacy@chokeyhunt.com within 48 hours of the transaction. We will investigate and resolve legitimate access failures promptly.
Chargebacks initiated without first contacting our support team will be treated as a violation of these terms and may result in permanent account suspension.
7. The Hunt — Rules of Participation
By participating in The Chokey Hunt, you agree to the following rules:
Fair Play: You will not use bots, scripts, automated tools, or any artificial means to solve clues, scrape content, or gain an unfair advantage over other participants
No Sharing of Paid Content: Member-only clues, vault content, and exclusive materials may not be shared, published, or distributed outside the platform in any form
No Collusion for Disqualification: Working with others to deliberately eliminate competitors or manipulate hunt outcomes is strictly prohibited
Respectful Conduct: All interactions within the community must remain respectful. Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other participants or staff will result in immediate disqualification and account termination
One Account Per Person: Creating multiple accounts to gain additional attempts or advantages is not permitted
Clue Integrity: Attempting to reverse-engineer, decode platform infrastructure, or access unreleased clues through technical exploits is a violation of these terms and may constitute a legal offense
Violation of any participation rule may result in disqualification, forfeiture of any prize eligibility, and permanent removal from the platform without refund.
8. Prizes
Prize Availability: Prize details, amounts, and distribution timelines are published on the site and may be updated periodically. All prize information is accurate at the time of publication.
Eligibility to Win: To be eligible to claim a prize, the winning participant must:
Hold an active, verified membership account
Have complied with all participation rules throughout the hunt
Be able to verify their identity upon request
Reside in a jurisdiction where receiving such a prize is legally permitted
Prize Claiming: Winners will be contacted via their registered email address. Failure to respond within 14 days of notification may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner at our discretion.
Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies applicable to prize winnings in their jurisdiction. The Chokey Hunt does not withhold taxes on behalf of winners.
Prize Modifications: The Chokey Hunt reserves the right to modify, substitute, or cancel prizes in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, a prize of equal or greater value will be offered where possible, or participants will be notified of any cancellation.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on The Chokey Hunt platform — including but not limited to clues, puzzles, the vault design, The Architect character, brand assets, graphics, copy, and community content — is the exclusive intellectual property of The Chokey Hunt and its creators.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any platform content without prior written permission. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.
Your participation in the hunt does not grant you ownership of or license to any platform content beyond personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
10. Community & Discord Conduct
Access to The Chokey Hunt community — including any affiliated Discord server or social channels — is a privilege extended to members, not a right. By participating in community spaces, you agree to:
Follow all posted community guidelines and moderator instructions
Refrain from posting spoilers, clue solutions, or vault content in public channels without designated permission
Not engage in spamming, self-promotion, phishing, or any disruptive behavior
Treat all community members and moderators with respect
The Chokey Hunt reserves the right to remove any member from community spaces at any time for conduct that violates these standards, with or without prior warning.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Chokey Hunt platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we make every effort to ensure a seamless experience, we make no warranties — express or implied — regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or guaranteed prize outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Chokey Hunt and its operators shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation
Loss of data, account access, or prize eligibility due to circumstances beyond our control
Technical failures, server outages, or third-party service disruptions
Actions or conduct of other participants within the community
Our total liability to any individual participant shall not exceed the amount paid by that participant to access the platform.
12. Modifications to the Hunt
The Chokey Hunt reserves the right to modify, pause, extend, or discontinue any aspect of the hunt experience at any time, including clue release schedules, prize structures, and platform features. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes via email or site announcement where possible.
Continued participation following any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms of Service, engages in fraudulent activity, or acts in a manner that is harmful to the platform, its participants, or its integrity. Termination may occur without prior notice in cases of serious violation.
Upon termination, all access to the clue vault, community, and associated member benefits will be revoked immediately and permanently.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Chokey Hunt is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your participation in the hunt shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed entirely, without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
